Conditions for using the converter, downloading results, and reading the site’s guides.
Scope and acceptance
Effective November 2, 2026. These terms apply to Almira Video Converter and its educational content. Use the service only if you may lawfully agree to these conditions or have any required permission from a parent or guardian. If you do not agree, stop using the service. These terms do not override rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Your materials and permission
You retain rights to your source materials. You are responsible for permission to process them and for compliance with copyright, privacy, and other applicable requirements. Selecting a file for local conversion does not transfer ownership to the project. Do not use the site to infringe rights or circumvent protection measures. See the Acceptable Use and Copyright page.
Device resources, backups, and verification
Encoding uses your device’s processing power and memory. The service may fail with unsupported, damaged, protected, or oversized inputs. Work can be lost if the browser closes, refreshes, crashes, or exhausts resources. Keep backups and verify the completed result before removing originals. The website is not an archive, recovery service, or guarantee of a particular output.
Availability and changes
The core converter is currently free and does not require an account. Features, supported combinations, compatibility, and limits may change. We do not promise a specific speed, output size, uninterrupted availability, or support response time. Any future paid service would require clear commercial terms before purchase; using this free release does not create a subscription.
Prohibited conduct
Do not attack the service, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate the project, or use automation to disrupt hosting. Do not use support channels to distribute unlawful, exploitative, infringing, or private material without authority.
Website content and third-party resources
Branding and editorial material remain subject to their owners’ rights. Open source dependencies retain their respective license terms. Guides are general information and do not guarantee a result on every file or device. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. Links do not imply endorsement.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free conversion. To that same extent, the project is not responsible for loss of files, interrupted work, or indirect losses arising from use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
