ALMIRA VIDEO CONVERTER
Privacy Policy
How local encoding, saved preferences, hosting requests, support messages, and future advertising affect information.
Scope and contact
Effective November 2, 2026. This policy covers Almira Video Converter at video-converter.altergygroup.com. Contact the project at info@video-converter.altergygroup.com about privacy or personal information. This policy describes the current release and distinguishes it from possible future advertising services.
Video files stay in the local conversion workflow
Selected videos are read and encoded in your browser. The conversion workflow does not upload the video contents to our servers or send them to a remote encoding API. Selected files, temporary work, and generated output can occupy browser memory during a session. The site does not provide cloud backup or cross-device recovery of your queue. Closing, refreshing, or crashing the browser can lose session work. Downloaded files remain on your device until you remove them.
Preferences stored in your browser
The application stores conversion and appearance preferences in local storage so settings can be remembered between visits. These preferences are not a video backup. You can inspect or clear site data through browser settings. Clearing site data resets preferences and can interrupt active application state. We do not receive an online copy of your source video through this local preference storage.
Hosting and normal connection data
Opening the site downloads pages, scripts, styles, and encoder assets. Hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses, browser and device details, request times, requested URLs, and operational logs for delivery, security, and troubleshooting. Their retention follows applicable operational policies; we do not promise a fixed deletion deadline for infrastructure logs outside our direct control. Local processing does not mean that visiting the site creates no network requests.
Information in support correspondence
If you email us, our email provider processes your address, message, and any attachments to deliver and manage correspondence. We use that information to respond, investigate issues, maintain service records, and meet applicable obligations. We keep it only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. Do not send private recordings or unnecessary sensitive details. We may need proportionate verification to act on a personal-information request, but do not send identity documents unsolicited.
Current advertising and analytics status
This release does not intentionally include advertising or analytics tags. If we introduce Google AdSense or other services later, we will update disclosures and implement required consent controls before enabling those integrations. A later advertising integration does not need to receive your video to collect ordinary connection or advertising information.
Google advertising disclosures for a future integration
When Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits. Third parties may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser details, and interaction information as a consequence of ad serving. Actual participating providers and controls must be identified when activated.
Advertising choices and consent
Manage Google personalized-ad preferences at Google My Ad Center. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. Participating third-party choices are available at YourAdChoices. External opt-out tools do not replace legally required site consent. Before applicable advertising is introduced, the site must provide consent and withdrawal controls and an appropriate certified consent platform where required.
Disclosure, processing locations, and security
Service providers may process connection information or correspondence to deliver, protect, or support the website. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to address abuse or protect rights. Hosting and email infrastructure may operate in other countries. We do not operate a public user-video library or sell uploaded videos; this conversion workflow does not receive them. No website can guarantee absolute security. Browser extensions, malware, shared-device access, and your own sharing choices are outside the converter’s control.
Your choices and applicable rights
You can stop using the site, clear local storage, manage browser permissions, and delete downloaded files yourself. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, or complain to a competent regulator. Email the contact above with a concise explanation. We cannot retrieve or delete a local video we never received. Legal and operational requirements can affect the information we must retain.
Children and policy updates
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit children’s personal information through support. A parent or guardian may contact us with a concern. Material changes to practices will be reflected in this policy and any notice or consent process required by applicable law.
